It appears our neighborhood mountain lion is busy since he has now been seen close to the intersection of Tanglewood and Burning Tree.
Remember, small/medium size dogs, and cats are easy prey, so keep your pets close to home during the early mid morning and late to early afternoon.

Has anyone seen this mountain lion more recently?(July 2009) I’m interested to know because something has really been spooking our horses. A vet said he has treated a horse recently with wounds from a probable lion attack. Probably good to be aware of this cat, if he has tried for a horse he must be hungry or inexperienced.
I have not heard of a mountain lion visiting Franktown this summer but I’ll keep my ears and email open!
one just ate my rabits
Oh, thats sad! are you located in the franktown/elizabeth area? I saw a deer carcass on our property that was definitely killed by a lion, and have seen the remains of one more just this month. Makes me nervous walking around at dusk in the trees….
I believe that a mountain lion killed my cat on our property last fall. Oct 2010
I have seen foot prints in the snow this winter that are large and could not figure out what they were.
One night in March around 10pm this year we had a mountain lion standing out by our back door. I think it’s a regular path for it.
I forgot to say that we are in Franktown by the Burning Tree Subdivision. It backs up to our property.
This was on 9-news. Mountain Lion cited in the Pinery.
